David Schulker is a Senior Data Scientist and Team Lead in the CERT Division of the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. He leads a team of researchers focused on applying artificial intelligence, machine learning, and statistics to solve cybersecurity challenges. His current research focuses on development, test, and evaluation of systems with artificial intelligence components, with a particular focus on analyses of system safety and security. He has 10+ years of experience in applied statistics and machine learning to support various DoD and DHS operational and management challenges. David is also a former Air Force intelligence officer, and he has a B.S. in economics from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a Ph.D. in Policy Analysis from the Pardee RAND Graduate School.
